I'm so late. And it's never bothered me. Inspiration comes to those who wait, or just plain stumble upon it. In this case I waited.
I always knew Twin Peaks (the original 90's series) would strike me. So many of my close friends had already fell in love with it, attempted to decipher it's many mysteries, and moved on with their consumption of the odd and the occult. It was always highly recommended and I was chastised many times for being profane to its excellence.
Anyway, I finally watched the shit. After the 33rd time it was suggested by Jewels Hunter that I was sleeping on it, I watched it. After the first season, and many abstract dreams about it all...I decided to make this music. I fell in love with the smokey saloon, eerie sounds capes created by Angelo Badalamanti for the original score. So I caved myself in like I always do, and made 80% of the tracks in two weeks. I stopped watching the show entirely. Then I finished off the show, and made my final 2 songs.
I've started watching the Return of Twin Peaks. And though I'm not inspired to make any music around it, I will say it's indescribable. I hope this music sheds new illumination on your Twin Peaks experience. This is for Lynch fans, and people who may be like I once was, and sometimes still suspect I am...in the dark about it all.
